Camp Overlook Mini Blast March 18, 2024

I lift my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? 

My help comes from the Lord, creator of heaven and earth.

We have copies of the 2024 Camp Overlook Brochure!  We hope that you will help share the good news about all of great summer programs at Camp Overlook!  The Brochure has Descriptions, Dates, and Prices of the different offerings.  Registrations are all done on the camp's website:  www.campoverlook.org.  As you plan, remember that Bridgewater UMC offers 1/2 tuition scholarships for kids.  Contact our Children and Youth Pastor, Whitney Reusser. 

 

From Camp Overlook:

 

"Our theme this Summer is the Life of Jesus.  Campers will start the week with Christmas and finish the week with Easter.  In between, we will witness miracles, learn from the parables, and understand what it means to be a Disciple.

 

This Summer we are offering 6 weeks of our Chriskids program for the Elementary age campers.  This program is your traditional camping experience with Bible Study Nature, Arts & Crafts, Singing, Camp games, Hiking, etc.

 

For our Middle School Age Campers, we have 3 weeks of traditional camp (Voyagers) and then some specialty options,  In addition, this summer we are offering a Survivor Camp that will have several different adventures here on camp, a Mission Camp which will bring the campers into the community to do some local mission work, and returning will be the Horse Camp and Nightflight.

 

For our High School Age Campers, we are offering 2 weeks of traditional camp (Pioneers) and also some specialty options.  We will have wo weeks of Adventure Quest where the campers will spend half a day on the river and another half day rock climbing, there will be a Mission Camp where the Campers will work on a project in the community, and the final week of the summer will be Nightfllight.

 

We will have 2 weeks of Day Camp for rising 1st - 5th graders and a Mini Camp for the same age for those that want to experience an overnight experience for a few nights.

 

Later this spring we will be installing our own Climbing Wall and Zip Line that we hope to be able to offer all campers a chance to experience."
